Teacher Mentoring
EDUCATION: GET REAL!!! team members meet the needs of teachers who like the one-on-one mentoring approach to learning how to implement EGR materials into their classrooms. EGR representatives share (with teachers attending national conferences) information about our mentoring services. Other educators contact us by email and we work out the details with them on a personal basis.
A recent mentoring service that EGR performed in the Colorado area included a teacher who was interested in looking for new teaching strategies and tools to use in her student-run in-school printing, embroidery, poster, and screen printing business (multiple profit centers). She needed our EGR matrix (umbrella) to organize and operate this "real world" student business utilizing our MBA: Get Real!!! business model. By using this plan, she was able to assign job descriptions to her students and carry out the day-to-day operations of the business. Other teachers have also used this business model for an auto repair business, a food services business, coffee cart business, a school store, etc. EGR management members have years of experience in interdisciplinary teaching, and share with the "mentored" teacher how they can connect with teachers of other disciplines to better prepare students for college and the "Real World."
