Getting Technical (Writing): Get Real!!!

Students engage in a technical writing team project that they will never forget! Teams of students develop a proposal with an executive summary (based on research), and create business letters, interoffice memorandums, business cards, news releases, newsletters, brochures, design a basic web page, conduct market research, etc. These technical writing skills prepare students for college and the workplace. In this unit, teachers develop a variety of strategies (while addressing the National Standards) that can be incorporated into almost any interdisciplinary class (English, Science, Social Studies, Business, etc.).
